Large Animal Chiropractic

Sports Med Services

Hancock Animal Clinic is pleased to offer equine chiropractic services to horse owners in Kiln, Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Gulfport, Long Beach, Picayune, and the surrounding Gulf Coast areas.

The purpose of veterinary chiropractic care is to evaluate and restore proper joint motion, especially within the spine and pelvis. If left untreated, restricted joint movement can contribute to pain, decreased performance, stiffness, reduced flexibility, and changes in gait or behavior. Through precise, controlled adjustments, chiropractic treatment strives to improve mobility, comfort, and overall musculoskeletal function.

Horses that will benefit most from chiropractic care include those who are experiencing neck or back pain, poor performance or decreased athletic ability, stiffness or reduced range of motion, changes in gait or stride length, difficulty bending, collecting, or maintaining balance, as well as those recovering from a musculoskeletal injury, and performance horses seeking general wellness and maintenance.

Chiropractic treatments are performed by our well-qualified, experienced veterinarian who has completed additional training in veterinary chiropractic care. Each horse receives a thorough physical examination before treatment to determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate. Chiropractic therapy is often incorporated into a comprehensive treatment plan alongside traditional veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, and other supportive therapies to achieve the best possible outcome.

Whether your horse is a performance athlete, breeding horse, ranch horse, or beloved companion, our veterinarian can provide chiropractic evaluations and treatments either in the clinic or at your farm through our convenient farm call service.
